AirDrop 101: Easily Send Content Between Nearby iPhones, iPads, and Macs

Your Mac must be running at least OS X Yosemite or later, and your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch must be updated to iOS 8 or later. I do hope, though, that you’re not still running iOS 8! How To Change Your AirDrop Settings:
If you want to share many files between your Mac and other Apple devices, see Sync content between your Mac and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If you want to use AirDrop to send items between your Apple devices, sign in to your Apple Account in order to automatically accept and save the items. From Photos Library, tap on “Select” and mark all of the photos and videos you want to share. You can also select the share icon from the bottom navigation bar when viewing individual photos and videos in the Photos app.
If you need the firewall on, add AirDrop to the allowed apps list. This lets it receive incoming connections while maintaining overall security. On your Mac, the photos and videos will appear in your Downloads folder. You can also set up your Mac to automatically import AirDropped media into the Photos app.
IInteresting that no one, not even techies, has been able to enlighten us on this issue. There isn’t a way to view AirDrop transfer history i’m afraid. Typically this is a one-time setting, but you might want to change it if, for example, you’re traveling and want to avoid roaming charges. What steps are needed to AirDrop from an iPhone to a Mac?
