MyHairTransplantMd offers the two most advanced methods of hair transplant surgery available today, Follicular Unit Grafting (FUG) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).  While there are important differences between the two procedures, one of the most significant is the way in which the donor hairs are harvested.  Whichever hair transplant technique you choose, you can rest assured that the procedure will result in no visible scar—not on the transplanted area of your scalp and not in the donor area.

MyHairTransplantMD Graft ExampleIf You Choose FUG:

There will be no scars whatsoever to the transplanted area of your scalp.  Because the donor hairs are harvested by excising a long, thin strip of hair (sometimes more than one), there will be thin incision that must be closed with sutures. MyHairTransplantMd uses a proprietary method of wound closure that results in a very inconspicuous scar.  When fully healed, the scar is very difficult to detect, even under close inspection.

If You Choose FUE:

There will be no scars whatsoever to the transplanted area of your scalp.  The donor hairs are harvested using a very small, circular punch.  Instead of one or more long scars, you’ll have hundreds of tiny circles where the donor hairs were extracted.  No sutures are required and when the little circular scabs from the procedure are fully healed, you won’t have any visible signs of the procedure, even if you wear your hair very short.
